The Bowen Hills Priority Development Area (PDA) was declared on 28 March 2008. It is located three kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and covers 108-hectares of land in the inner northern suburb of Bowen Hills.
The area is located east of the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, south of the inner city bypass and Enoggera Creek and north of Brunswick Street. Landmark places within the PDA include the RNA Showgrounds, the Old Museum, Perry Park and the Bowen Hills Railway Station.
Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) has been reviewing the Bowen Hills PDA Development Scheme.
We have prepared the proposed Bowen Hills PDA Development Scheme amendment no.2 and the Bowen Hills PDA Development Charges and Offset Plan (DCOP). These were publicly notified from Monday 29 October 2018 to Friday 7 December 2018.
EDQ will now review and consider all submissions, prepare a submission report and final development scheme for state government approval.

Note: In February 2013 the Urban Land Development Act 2007 (ULDA Act) was repealed and replaced with the Economic Development Act 2012 (ED Act). From then on land areas identified for priority development were referred to as PDAs not UDAs and existing UDAs were transitioned under the ED Act. Any reference to the term UDA on this website is taken to mean a transitioned UDA.
