Improvements to Yarrabah’s sewerage system will allow for increased future demand and address community health concerns.
The project will improve the integrity and efficiency of Yarrabah’s sewerage system by upgrading two sewage pump stations that currently do not operate adequately and result in system failures. These failures can include manhole overflows close to hospital grounds causing a significant public health risk, and breaches of the EPA licensing requirements.
