The Lockhart River community will gain a new airport terminal building, supporting over 1000 commercial, government and private charters per year.
This vital new terminal building will provide a passenger processing area, a secure baggage/air freight enclosure, a disabled toilet, and indoor and outdoor waiting areas for hot/inclement weather. The replacing the existing building which has limited facilities for passenger processing, no secure baggage handling/air freight, no disabled facilities and no covered waiting area.
