3Cassowary Coast Regional CouncilTully Landfill Remediation Capping – Stage 2This project will construct a cap on the redundant section of the Tully Landfill to mitigate the risk of contaminant release into the environment during high rainfall events. Works include reshaping approximately 1.6 hectares of the Cell 1 landfill structure, installing leachate collection systems (in the form of a leachate trench and sumps), and constructing a multi-layer over-cap of clay and geotextile. Drainage infrastructure will be constructed to reduce velocity and energy of water flow and direct water to existing sedimentation basins. 3Cassowary Coast Regional CouncilWheatleys Hill Water ReservoirThis project will construct a new 4.5 megalitre reinforced concrete reservoir adjacent to the existing 0.7 megalitre reservoir at Wheatleys Hill, South Mission Beach. Works will include preparing storage infrastructure to ensure the top water level of the new reservoir is the same as the existing reservoir, upgrading the mains water supply to the existing reservoir and constructing links to the new reservoir. The existing infrastructure will be augmented to supply an additional 2.6 megalitres a day. 3Mapoon Aboriginal Shire CouncilMapoon Machinery Shelter UpgradeThis project will build a new machinery workshop vehicle shelter and work area in Mapoon to create a safe and weather-proof space. This will provide storage for smaller items and a safe, shaded area for work to be undertaken as well as parking. 3Maranoa Regional CouncilRoma Saleyard Multi-Purpose FacilityThis project will deliver a multi-purpose precinct at the Roma Saleyard complex. It includes construction and fit-out of an interactive interpretative/gallery area showcasing the history of the livestock industry in the region; a 100 seat dining/function area with kitchen, serveries and bar; an administration area with additional office space for agents and contractors; a checkoff room and meeting room. 3Maranoa Regional CouncilRoma Sewer Main UpgradeThis project will upgrade a number of failing and undersized sewer mains in Roma to prevent service disruptions for residents and businesses. A significant portion of this project will involve construction of a new sewer main in Roma’s CBD to increase capacity and divert flows from the current main on Major Street which has exceeded its life expectancy. The project also includes relining approximately two kilometres of existing 150 millimetre main in nine separate locations and replacing manholes found to be in extremely poor condition. 3Murweh Shire CouncilWarrego River Crossing Water Main ReplacementThis project will replace two 30-year old cast iron water main pipes to provide a secure supply of potable water for residents and businesses on the western side of the Warrego River. Replacing the pipes will involve removing the existing infrastructure and installing two 150 metre by 225 millimetre PVC casings three metres below the river bed. Two continuous 150 metre by 115 millimetre pipes will then be inserted through the casings and reconnected to the existing water network. 3North Burnett Regional CouncilMingo Crossing Caravan Park UpgradeThis project will build additional camping and caravan facilities at the Mingo Crossing caravan park to boost tourism in the North Burnett region. This project will also develop open space along the north east edge of the river to support an additional 40 camping sites. 3Paroo Shire CouncilCunnamulla Sewerage Pipe Replacement ProjectThis project will involve a CCTV condition and assessment inspection of the Cunnamulla sewerage network system to identify and replace deteriorated pipes. New Work Health and Safety compliant pumpstation lids and covers, switchboards and pump controllers will also be installed. The project also includes installation of markers and new property services, including road crossings. The project will ensure that the facilities at Bulloo Park are kept operational and functional and will improve the aesthetic appeal to attract participation and hiring of the facilities.
