The Priority Development Area (PDA) facilitates development associated with the proposed Cross River Rail station.
It is approximately 3858 m2 with two core land areas separated by the Albert Street road reserve.
Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line being constructed from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, with a 5.9 kilometre tunnel under the Brisbane River and Brisbane City Centre.
The PDA was declared on 14 December 2018 at the request of the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA).
The Albert Street Cross River Rail PDA Development Scheme ( 6.6 MB) is the regulatory document that assists with planning, carrying out, promoting, coordinating and controlling land development within a PDA. The development scheme became effective on 13 December 2019.
The proposed development scheme for the Albert Street CRR PDA was prepared by CRRDA and publicly notified from 10 September to 23 October 2019 (the submissions period).
Written submissions were reviewed by the Minister for Economic Development Queensland (MEDQ) and a submissions report ( 2 MB) was prepared.
The CRRDA assesses development applications for this PDA.
All development applications are assessed against the Albert Street Cross River Rail Development Scheme.
Prior to the approval of the development scheme, development within the PDA was regulated under the Interim Land Use Plan ( 4.5 MB).
